Well, it was Mary-Catherine's birthday on January 5th. She turned 7 years old! That is still hard for me to believe...it really seems like just the other day she was born and wouldn't cry..and now she never stops talking!!! :)

Mary-Catherine Kelly Corne

One big happy family!

Liam was enthralled - he couldn't say "sister" so he called her "siska"

The kids come to meet the new edition!

Since Rachel's birthday is in December, while The Lower's were in town Papaw & Gigi took them to the salon for a mani/pedi!

They were so excited!

Look at those cute toes!

Peas in a Pod

They had so much fun and their fingers and toes looked great!

Finally, we had Mary-Catherine's party on Sunday, Jan 9th at Micki's house.

The cousins before the party. Unfortunately Andrew & Zach couldn't be there but hopefully next time!
They love to play air hockey!
Auntie Haley made MC's birthday cake - Hello Kitty! (MC's favorite!)
AND she made chocolate chai cupcakes - they were SO delicious!

Happy Birthday Mary-Catherine!!
Opening presents...she got so many nice things! Thank you everyone!
Dave leading a game of Bingo - the kids loved it!

Santa Claus Came!!

December 25th, 2010:
Santa Claus came down the chimney, and guess what he brought us?
A Wii!!!
We were so excited to find that!!
ESPECIALLY DADDY!!

Good Morning Sunshine!!

Liam was very excited to get Mighty Beans from Gigi & Papaw

And a remote control car!

Sissy got a few books she was ecstatic about!

And of course...the blinking Rudolph nose!

We had a wonderful Christmas and Santa was very good to us. I was so excited to get a Kindle from my Grandma. Mom and Dad got us a new TV that we are totally psyched about!! The kids got the Wii from Santa, and also some games and other toys from me & Jojo. Grandma got them a ton of stuff as well..and so did Gigi & Papaw - a scooter for Liam, a basketball goal with two basketballs, Sissy got a Pandora Bracelet with 2 charms...one from Gigi "the sun, moon and stars" and one from Grandma "the little angel!" awww.....also the Zhu Zhu princess castle, and of course the biggest gift from them..a TRAMPOLINE!! They were thrilled!

I haven't been good about taking pictures lately..so I don't have any of when we went to Nana & Papaw Larry's, or when we went to Auntie Haley & Uncle Paul's house to visit with Papaw Corne & Nana Marsha. We had a wonderful time with all our families! Papaw Corne & Nana Marsha got the kiddos some AWESOME toys and Jojo and I got DVD's and a gift card for Barnes & Nobles - Yay!! At Nana's, I got a beautiful pink coat! :) Sissy got Hello Kitty figures, Make-a-bracelet craft set, a Barbie purse with lipstick, and several other things!! Liam got a ton of Mighty Beans, a Club Penguin Air Hockey Set, a carrying case for the Mighty Beans, a Cuponk Game, and more - they both got so much from everyone it's hard to remember..but we want to say THANK YOU to everyone - we are very lucky to have such a wonderful family.

Well, I was looking through some old pictures last night, and I found this one of me, my Dad, and my brother Jesse. It was Christmas of 1998; I was 20 years old and Jesse was 11. I can't believe how young we look! I think I look like I'm about 12 years old. LOL. I also can't get over how much my brother Bill looks looks like my Dad in this picture!

Merry Christmas to everyone, and once again, thank you all. We look forward to a Happy New Year!

Winter 2010

I have been SO busy this winter with school, the kids, and everything else...so I haven't updated since August!! So much has happened! I will try to do better about updating! :)

So, since I have been slack I will have to start with Christmas Pictures! (Obviously we've had alot of outings in between..and some of them are on Auntie Haley's Blog, I'm sure she won't mind if you check it out! www.mataxgenet.blogspot.com

The first week of December, we took the kids to get their Christmas Pictures made! Mary-Catherine was loving it..she is such a ham! She loves to pose for pictures.

Well, then it was Liam's turn to join in the pictures. He did ok on the first one or two, then had a sudden shy spell and didn't want to take any more. Sometimes he gets that way, it's just his personality! And even though it can be a little aggrivating at picture time, that's the way he is and I have taught my kids to embrace each other's differences! So, we didn't get very many pictures of Liam that day, but the ones we did get were great. :)

Here is Liam, peeking through the frame! Starting to loosen up a bit!

And here is one of all the kiddos together!

On December 23rd we got together with Amy & David for our annual Christmas Celebration! (I need to apologize in advance for these pictures..they weren't taken with my camera and some are a little blurry!)

Amy and David opened their presents first! Amy got some Bath and Body works, and a beautiful Christmas ornament, David got a book he wanted from Borders, and together they got a gift certificate to The Cotton Mill Restaurant downtown. Merry Christmas guys! We love you and hope you enjoy it all!

Their gift to Sissy: An AMERICAN GIRL DOLL!! She was so excited! Her name is "Rebecca" and her back story is from the 1940's.

I don't know how I ended up not getting a picture of Liam opening his gift, but he got a gift certificate to a pottery class at The Sawtooth Center, a set of 3 nerf guns (which we had to play with after dinner!) and a totally cool hoody! Here is a picture of me and Liam.

My Dad is so silly!! Amy and Dave got him a totally amazing book that is a history of Winston-Salem with a ton of old pictures taken by the original photographer from the WS Journal/Sentinel. It is so awesome and he LOVES it!

Mom got a beautiful leopard print bag that she can use for travel and totally matches her personality!!! :)

Oh Man....Jojo was SO EXCITED with his Duke Sweatshirt!!!

And last but not least, Amy & David got me something I have ALWAYS wanted...an Irish Claddagh ring! I love it guys..thank you so much! Love, Friendship, & Loyalty. :)

We had a wonderful dinner together and wrapped it up with an even better dessert (haha) - My attempt at Paula Deen's Red Velvet Whoopie Pies! The looked wierd, but tasted great. (Haley especially likes the one with the 2 cookies on top! LOL)

Well....I have to go do a few chores around the house now...this update has taken me forever!! More to come, especially pictures of Christmas Day, Dinner out for Mary-Catherine and Rachel's birthday, their day at the spa, etc.... I'll keep updating...you keep reading!!! :) HAPPY NEW YEAR!
