Happy Birthday to Liam!

This year Liam turned 9 years old.  NINE! I still can't believe it!

We had a special dinner for him at Gigi & Papaw's house, and at his Nana's.

I don't know how I did this, but I have lost all of my pictures from his dinner at Nana's.  So I had to borrow some from Haley's blog and FB.

 Liam really LOVES Domo. So for his birthday Nana & Auntie Haley made him a Domo birthday cake. How awesome is that?

Birthdays! WOW!!

August is a huge birthday month for us. We have celebrated 4 birthdays in August! Papaw Larry's, My dad's, mine, and Liam's!

For Papaw Larry's, we went to their house (Micki & Larry's) to celebrate. We had alot of fun but unfortunately I forgot my camera! Ugh! Luckily my SIL Angela took this pic. Thanks Angela!

Next in line was my dad. We had a great time celebrating and luckily Bill, Linda, & Rachel got to come down to celebrate with us too!

For his birthday we took him out to dinner at Chile Rojo in Mount Airy. We had so much fun!!

The best thing about dinner was when they came to sing happy birthday to dad. Although that is always good and embarassing at a Mexican place, this one totally took the cake...When they came up, one of the guys sneaked up and put whipped cream on his face. Of course we all died laughing! And my dad took it like a champ. :)

Then we went back and had cake & ice cream, of course! I eat more cake and ice cream in August than I do all year. Not that I need it!

Yes, it's August, and no, I don't know why Amy was wrapped up in a blanket. Except that she's wierd. ;)

Summer Vacation!!

We were so excited to go on our beach vacation this year. The past 6 months have been so stressful and we really needed some time to relax and unwind!

We had a great time this year. What made it extra special is that we weren't sure if my parents were going to get to come, and they did get to so it was great! Not as much fun to go on a family vacation without ALL the members of your family, right? We were hoping Bill, Linda & Rachel were going to get to come too but they couldn't. Next year, definitely!!

I could not keep the kiddos out of the water this year! They were having so much fun and they were absolutely FEARLESS! They kept trying to sneak out into deep water and I kept having to call them back. These pictures were taken on the last day when the surf was pretty rough. We were only letting them go out ankle deep but as you can see, the waves were pretty hard. Luckily as the tide went out it left a little pool of water (kind of like a little lake) for them to play in. That was fun..Jody and I even got in it! (No pics of that..haha)

My mantra of the day..."Come back!! You're going out to far!!"

So, while we were there we decided to go to the Myrtle Beach Skywheel. It was so hot that day the heat index was 115 degrees! Luckily the little boxes were air conditioned. It was alot of fun and the view was absolutely Amazing!!

We also took the kids to the Wonderworks museum. It was really neat and there was so much to do! Here are some pictures from there:
